well i read in my history book that 1 of the colonist carved a towns name on 1 of the poles on Sir Walter Raleigh's theater fort in Roanoke!!but who did it?!why did they let there colony just drift away?!?!why didn't thy just keep there colony,so it could be famous like Plymouth or Jamestown??!?!!Its just another mystery!!!!!!

Maybe the solar system consisted of just FOUR planets originally? Earth, Mars, Venus and one other? Take a look at the ideas put forward in a book entitled 'The Impact And Exit Event' - I found it to be a very interesting concept, and perhaps you will, too.

i am trying to find out why in my astronomy book it shows a picture of stonehenge on the first day of the summer solstice and the sun does not shine straight on through to the other side. Do you know why this might happen? Are the stones just set up in a possition that it does not shine straight if your standing on the opposite side of the sun rise?

Very good article. Thank you for the information. There seem to be many mysteries that leave us mere mortals scratching our heads. I, for one, find that refreshing in a world where there are way too many self-proclaimed know-it-alls who can't even seem to spell the English language anymore, and that bring silly arguments onto a page where the wonder of the mystery would be much more entertaining to discuss. Once again, thank you for your insight.

I am going to light one up just after reading those 20 points. And to be honest, it is really true about the persecution of smokers. I smoke around a place I go to 4 times per week and if we are not over 15 feet from the door, all the non-smokers complain their asses off about being able to smell the smoke, and we end up getting yelled at and having the ash trays and dispenser units moved even further away. The truth should be revealed to these ignorant idiots.
